Much excitement at The House of Passementerie, as our new collection "PORTFOLIO", which consists of 150 new items with a colour range equalling the rainbow and many basics, like soutache and cotton and jute tiebacks, to fancy braids and tassels, is due at the end of March 2013. We will be exhibiting at Decorex Cape Town from the 24th to 28th April and in Johannesburg in August, we look forward to seeing you there!

September 2012

The House of Passementerie has exhibited at Decorex Cape Town and Johannesburg this year, where we showed some of you a rough draft of our new collection, these items were well received and so it has finally been put together and we expect to have books and stock of this, our Book 4, early 2013. Watch this space ………………

In the meantime, we have put the entire Book 1 on special, to clear some of the large quantity of stock that we have, please refer to your pricelists for these prices, or send a quotation request on the website and we will get back to you.

We will be launching our third collection in February 2011, with new and exciting colours i.e. plum, turquoise, greys and much asked for white! Some of the other colours in the collection match our most popular pom poms, for example chartreuse, blush, heather and mist. The new items include single tiebacks, keytassels - some in glass - furniture fringes, bullion, a glass beaded brush fringe and some unusual tiebacks.

We will be exhibiting on stand 9 at Rooms on View, which starts on the 27th May 2010 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.  We are hoping to meet our clients and make new contacts and display the imaginative use of trimmings, on our room display.

At the same time we are proud to introduce the Karoo Collection, a collection of 15 local handmade tiebacks and  8 keytassels, using hand-dyed cottons, African beads, glass, cloths and skins, which are so versatile, they can be used in a traditional, eclectic or contemporary setting.  The Karoo Collection is not simply an accessory, but each tieback is a unique work of art, the perfect finishing touch to your interior.

Our new book is now on order and we will be launching it towards the end of July.

The six main colourways are wheat, a golden old yellow colourway, a berry red, blue, a chalky lime green, chocolate brown and natural cotton. They will consist of brush fringes, piping cords, braids, a 70cm bullion for use on curtains edges and a pom pom. Each colourway will have a matching tieback and key tassel.

Then a page of pom poms in up-to-date colours including a funky pink, grey, tree green, mist, black and chartreuse.

The existing stone and ivory colourways will make up two more pages and they will each have a matching tieback and key tassel.

Then finally, some extra keytassels to match our more popular colours from the existing book - terracotta, celadon, brown and aqua, and two fun key tassels, one ivory, one black, with a shell.

A total of 29 new trims, 8 tiebacks and 14 key tassels.

We are quite confident that with this new book The House of Passementerie will cover all your trimming and tiebacks requirements!

Just in stock, two new colours, Stone and Ivory.  They come in a brush fringe, a looped fringe, with a thread of chenille, a piping cord and cord and
a 210mm bullion.

In early 2009 a buying trip is being planned, to source items that you the consumer are asking us for and some new exciting novelty items, for launch mid-2009.
